Eligible candidates who qualified in the preliminary exam can apply for posts including Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, and Deputy Inspector. The application window is open until June 4, 2026, with the main examination scheduled for July 12, 2026.

Important Warning

Candidates must complete KYC verification on the MPSC portal as per the order dated June 20, 2025, before applying.

Exam Pattern

Paper 1 (Marathi/English): 100 questions, 200 marks. Paper 2 (GS/Intelligence): 100 questions, 200 marks. Total 800 marks. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Indian citizenship is mandatory.
Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized university (specific technical/engineering degree required for Industry Inspector).
Typing Proficiency: Mandatory for Tax Assistant and Clerk-Typist (Marathi 30 wpm and English 40 wpm).
Physical Standards: Applicable for Deputy Inspector (Male: 165cm height, 79-84cm chest; Female: 155cm height, 50kg weight).
Knowledge of Marathi is mandatory for all posts.

Age Limit

Age calculated as of February 1, 2026:

Minimum age: 19 years for all candidates.
General (Open): Max 38 years.
Reserved (OBC/Anath/Sports): Max 43 years.
Divyang / Project-Affected / Part-Time Govt Employees: Max 45 years.
Ex-Servicemen: 38/43 years + years of service + 3 years.
