Coal India Limited (CIL) is recruiting Management Trainees in E-1 grade across various disciplines. The application process is online, with the last date to apply being June 11, 2026. Eligibility requires a degree with a minimum of 60% marks, and selection is based on a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Appointed candidates must serve the company for a minimum of 60 months and execute a service agreement bond of ₹3 Lakhs.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Minimum Qualification:

Civil: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
Electrical: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
Mechanical: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
System: Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T or any 1st Class Degree with MCA.
E&T: BE/B.tech/B.Sc (Engg) in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
Geology: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
Industrial Engineering: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks, and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks.
Company Secretary: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute having acquired Company Secretary qualification with Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI. Preference to candidates who have worked in a listed Company.
B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech must be from University/Institute recognized by appropriate statutory authority in India and should be a regular full-time course.
Degree obtained through online/correspondence/or part-time course or Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Non-Technical discipline i.e. Hindi is also recognized, provided the qualification is recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services of the Central Government.
Minimum qualifying marks for GENERAL (UR), OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) & EWS are 60%. For SC, ST and PwBD, relaxation of 5% is given (55%).
Candidates appearing in the final semester/year of academic year 2025-26 are eligible if they expect results by 31.08.2026.
Clarification on relevant branches of Engineering is provided for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Industrial Engineering disciplines.
In case of any dispute regarding qualification admissibility, the decision of Chairman, Coal India Limited shall be final.

Age Limit

Upper Age Limit is 30 Years as on 30th April 2026 for General (UR) & EWS category candidates.

Persons with Disabilities (OBC Non-Creamy Layer): +13 Years

Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years on the crucial date (30-April-2026) after relaxation.
